Education Requirements

Desired Characteristics: • Electrical distribution equipment experience, low or Medium voltage • Experience with Low and Medium Voltage Paralleling switch gear application and operation • Experience with PLC logic and programming • Experience with control relay applications, programming and communications • Familiarity with MODBUS, PROFINET, BACNET and IEC 61850 (GOOSE) communication protocols • Experience with SAP and or Sales Force.com • Experience in Switchgear manufacturing and testing processes • Demonstrated ability in problem solving and working well with others across business functions • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously • Independent worker with strong leadership and customer focus • Demonstrated verbal and written Communication skills • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Access • Strong problem solving skills

Education Requirements

Math Ability: Level 3: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has supervisory responsibilities including supervision of subordinate supervisors. This position will require direct supervision of Goodwill employees. Purchasing Authority: Purchasing Authority Level - Directors/Controller SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (e.g. physical or environmental requirements, irregular work schedule, required license or certification, background check) Physical and Environmental Requirements: 1. Regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. 2. Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 3. Sitting, standing or walking for long periods of time. 4. Perform work outside and inside; exposure to weather conditions, dust, dirt, electricity, noise, fumes and chemicals. 5. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud (examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment). 6. Ability to manage stress related to crisis intervention, meeting tight time targets and managing employees. 7. Ability and the means to travel independently from site to site. 8. Ability to pass a Florida Level II background check. Language Ability: Level 4: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, compose emails and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and public. Reasoning Ability: Level 5: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. License and Certifications: Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record and current private auto insurance policy.
